Family Ministries

Do you feel called to work with families within your church and communities?

The Family Ministries program equips students for discipleship ministry across all age groups in both age-appropriate and combined settings. This program is ideal for those who feel a burden for families and a passion to see Christ become the center of those families. After completing this program, students will be prepared for a multi-age ministry in their church, community outreach, and many more forms of ministry!

Students will take classes that focus on ministering to children, youth, and adults, and well as Bible and theology classes. Classes will include those on age specific discipleship, summer ministries,  family dynamics, teaching, and counseling. These classes will help prepare the students for a variety of ministries in their churches and communities.

What happens after graduation?

Some of our graduates choose to continue their education in pursuit of a Master of Arts or Master of Divinity degree (M.Div). Graduates choosing to do so, often remark at how well prepared they were for the academic challenges of seminary. Although our graduates have chosen to attend a variety of seminaries across the country, KMBC recommends Wesley Biblical Seminary in Ridgeland, Mississippi.
