KMBC is the Bible College in Adventure Country! Located in the beautiful foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, KMBC is surrounded by gorgeous views, outdoor areas and with a zip line on campus perfectly suited to enjoy outdoor activity!
Campus students have access to over 400 acres of unpopulated outdoor space located less than 2 miles from campus. KMBC students enjoy hiking, camping, shooting, and more. There are over 3.5 miles of hiking and ATV trails that are available for students as well as a picnic shelter, cabin, and primitive restrooms. As a special project of the President “The Mines” as this area is known on campus continues to updated for the enjoyment of those on campus and visitors alike! The North Fork of the Kentucky River also runs right in front of the college and is perfect for canoeing and kayaking, along with other lakes in the area!
Located 30 miles from KMBC Red River Gorge is known around the world for it’s rock climbing, and abundance of naturally occurring rock arches, including the ever popular Natural Bridge State Park. As part of the Daniel Boone National Forest their are lots of fun and exciting things for students to enjoy including hiking, camping, water sports, zip lining, and underground kayaking! When visiting Elkview Scenic Area you’ll have opportunity to have an up-close and personal interaction with the local “wild” horses. Elkview also boasts a mountain top walking path in addition to the breathtaking scenery. There are also miles of trails for walking and ATV’s! You may even spot the elusive Elk!
