Biography

I spend the majority of my growing up years in central Indiana where my dad was a principle and teacher at Union Bible Academy and College. From the time I was very small until the summer before my senior year of high school, I had plans to be a nurse, but God had other plans for my life. In the spring of my junior year of high school, I finally quit the drastic ups and downs in my spiritual life and decided I would follow God wholeheartedly. Later that year during fall revival, I fully surrendered my heart and life to Christ and became sanctified.

In a conversation with my mom the summer before my senior year of high school, she asked if I had ever considered becoming a counselor. That was the beginning of the marvelous journey on which God has taken me!

I took my first counseling class in the spring of my senior year, and although I was not fully confirmed counseling was my chosen ministry, it began heightened my hunger to become a counselor. I attended Union Bible College for two years and transferred to Hobe Sound Bible College to complete my counseling degree. I graduated in May of 2020 after a miraculous situation in which I was able to complete my internship a mere 3 weeks before COVID closed everything. In August of 2020, I began my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Indiana Wesleyan University. In April of 2021, my parents and I came to visit friends at Mt. Carmel, and I met Ruth Darland who invited me to come to Kentucky Mountain Bible College to do my practicum and internship under her which I did in August of 2022. I completed my Master of Arts in August and began teaching and counseling in the college. God has been so faithful in writing my story, and I cannot wait to see how He will continue to work.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” – Proverbs 3:5-6
