KMBC's Got Talent 2020 is open to High School Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, and recent graduates. Contestants may enter multiple entries in multiple categories.

KGT is a Christian talent competition.  All entries are expected to be Christian in nature, and may be rejected if they are not.

A panel of KMBC judges will judge and render the official decision on the winners and prizes. (See link below for guidelines.) Public voting is also allowed on the website, and the winner by public vote will also be included in the live online show.

The top performers will receive a $1000.00 scholarship to KMBC and be included in the “KMBC’s Got Talent” Live Online Show!

Each contestant may participate in multiple categories. Multiple scholarships will be awarded.

Entries will be accepted from April 1 - April 16, 2020.  Entries will be judged by/on April 17th to be included in the April 17th online talent show.

Current KMBC students are not eligible to participate in this contest, unless in the High School dual-enrollment program.

 

Recommendations

While any type of recording device is acceptable, we encourage you to ensure that you have as good of audio quality as possible.

Be sure to read the competition rules for your category.  Most categories have time limits!

Ask someone to provide feedback on your entry before you submit it.

Public Voting

Public voting is allowed. Participants may vote on multiple entries. Only one vote per entry is allowed per device (even if different people use the device).

Note: Due to website caching, your vote may not display immediately. But be assured, if you received the vote confirmation message, your vote has been counted!

Pre-Screening of Entries

All entries will be pre-screened by a judge.  If approved, the video will be available on the website for public voting.  For a video to be approved, it must meet the judge's expectations of a competition-worthy entry.  It must also only include content that is appropriate for a Christian talent contest.  KMBC reserves the right to reject any entry for any reason.

Worship Teams

We are excited to include the Worship Teams category this year!  Judging will review the team as a whole.  Prizes for worship teams will be different from the other categories since there are multiple people.  The scholarship amount won will be divided among the members of the worship team evenly.  Remember that each member may also enter the competition in the individual categories!
