Senior Spotlight: Kolton and Adelle Semrow
Kolton and Adelle Semrow came to KMBC from Port Huron, Michigan with the intention of getting grounded in the word of God and actively equipped for ministry. They came to genuine faith in Christ when young, nine and five years of age respectively, and both attended Hillside Wesleyan Church until their trek to Kentucky in the fall of 2009. Their pastor, the late David Mercer, encouraged them to attend KMBC, referring to it as the “Green Beret of Bible Colleges.”
While neither of them sensed a call to a specific area of ministry, Kolton knew from God’s word that we all are called to be ready to give an answer for the hope within us. With that understanding, the choice to attend a Bible College to be equipped and made ready was just the next logical step. When asked what was the most important thing they gained from being at KMBC, they both said, “The teaching of sanctification.” “Not only was it taught, they continued, “but it was truly lived out before us.” Both Kolton and Adelle were wholly sanctified in their second year at KMBC, Kolton saying, “I wrestled for some time, but as soon as it was done, I knew it.”
They have decided to stay on at KMBC as staff, ministering primarily in Admissions and Development. We are deeply blessed to have them here, and are thankful to God for His faithfulness in raising up such quality workers. Please pray for Kolton and Adelle as they seek to serve God at KMBC.
