Elizabeth is a bible quizzer who hails from Lexington, Kentucky, and started this fall with the intention of preparing for a God-called Ministry. I asked her why she chose KMBC, and she responded with unusual clarity. She had been looking for a school that fit four specific criteria; (1) It must be ministry focused, (2) It had to be affordable, (3) It must hold the Word of God to be inerrant, and (4) It must have a caring staff.

KMBC was the “perfect fit” according to Elizabeth. She had first come to a recruiting event at KMBC to hear an Answers in Genesis speaker. Her KMBC roommate for that event was a girl with a heart for missions and holiness. The two spent quite some time talking about holiness, something Elizabeth had been hungering for. The next morning Dr Speas spoke on that subject, and Elizabeth responded to God’s call and was wholly sanctified.

I asked her about how that has played out since coming here as a student and she said she is now learning how to both live and share this holy life in a practical way. She greatly appreciates the way KMBC is geared toward ministry; “They teach you how to use everything to glorify God.” she said.

Elizabeth is a bright light here, and continues to hunger after God and His truth. Please pray that God’s light will grow ever brighter through her.
