I believe in KMBC because the college teaches that through the infilling of the Holy Spirit, we can have victory over sin! The secular world and much of the church world believes that this is unattainable in this life. The approach of the secular world is to normalize, legalize, and even celebrate sin. This capitulation to sin has created a cataclysmic downward shift in our culture, even to the point of endorsing and legalizing what was unthinkable a few years ago.

Much of the church world has also taken a soft approach toward sin. Many assume that complete victory is unattainable in this life. The best we can do is suppress sin and reduce the amount we do. Someone has called this approach “sin management.” We don’t get complete victory over sin; we just work at not being as bad as we used to be.

But is this the reason Jesus died on the cross… just to scale back and reduce the amount of our badness? I am so thankful that the Bible and KMBC presents a more powerful Savior than that!

Christ died to save us from ALL sin- not just some sin. He died to save us from the power of sin- not just the consequences of sin.

One of the greatest joys I have as president of KMBC is to see our students get victory over sin- yes, even their besetting sins. It is exciting to see the great change that comes to their lives when through the power of the Holy Spirit; they are able to get victory over sin! This week I met the parents of one of our students. With smiling faces they told me, “We have seen a big change in our daughter sine she came to KMBC!” At KMBC we do not present a savior who will help them with sin management. Instead, we present a Savior who can deliver them from all sin!!
