Why I Believe in KMBC
I believe in KMBC because the college seeks to educate and train the whole person. Secular schools largely focus on developing the mind and body. KMBC seeks to do much more! Listed below are areas we seek to develop that are often neglected in many colleges.
We seek to develop the heart. Proverbs 4:23 says out of the heart are the issues of life. It is the foundation for all of life. KMBC seeks to develop students spiritually through anointed chapels, earnest prayer meetings, powerful revivals, accountability groups, and spiritual mentoring.
The college is committed to developing a strong work ethic through our campus student work program. This program has been very effective in transforming and equipping students with a great work ethic!
People who come in contact with our students often comment about their politeness and good manners. This comes by no accident. Teaching good manners is an integral part of our education and campus culture. Another frequent comment about our students is their good people skills. As a college we have been proactive by putting in place a number of activities and practices designed to teach and develop these skills.
Character development is woven into the very warp and woof of students’ KMBC educational experience. Each student has a personal mentor who helps them identify their strengths and weaknesses with a plan to improve the latter.
KMBC students have many opportunities to develop their ministry skills. They don’t wait for graduation to begin ministry – they are busy doing ministry from the start of their education. It’s not just “theory” but a lot of “hands on” practice.
Many colleges leave large portions of personal development to chance and the students’ personal choices. This often results in students graduating with lots of information in their heads but with many glaring personal deficiencies. I believe in KMBC because we take a more proactive role in training the whole person and this produces a better product.
